Technical Documentation for High-Risk AI Systems

Providers of high-risk AI systems must prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation before placing the system on the market or putting it into service. This documentation must demonstrate compliance with the AI Act’s requirements and provide authorities with clear, comprehensive information to assess conformity. It must include at least the elements listed in Annex IV. Small businesses, including start-ups, may use a simplified form provided by the Commission for this purpose.
