Before making a high-risk AI system available on the market, distributors must verify that it bears the required CE marking, is accompanied by a copy of the EU declaration of conformity and instructions for use, and that the provider and importer have complied with their respective obligations. A distributor that considers a high-risk AI system it has made available on the market not to be in conformity shall take the corrective actions necessary to bring that system into conformity, to withdraw it or recall it, or ensure that the provider, importer, or relevant operator takes those actions. Where a high-risk AI system presents a risk, the distributor shall immediately inform the provider or importer of the system and the competent authorities, giving details of the non-compliance and any corrective actions taken. Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Article 24, Article 24
